Hello 7rojo7, the studio is already working and settled, they are still on the quest of some preamps and more mics, but the whole thing opened its doors as a plug and rec-play facility. they didnt spare any expenses. until now the solution is 100% digital platform. no analog console. just the icons, and the digi pres, plus some lunchboxes and some other flavors. i personally would have chosen other gear for it, but it is a strange situation, because there is no actual owner of the studio, besides that sony manages it, and the local foremen who keep everything running, it is a studio made by the government, who asked for the biggest studio possible, so in one stage of this very big funky deal, someone bet to the icons, and they went ahead with it. one thing to add is that the president of sony music-bmg is now an argentinian guy, and now the whole thing rounds up. san luis goverment gives the studio to sony to make records. thats so funky too.
if you want to make contact, one way is through the government of san luis:
sanluismusica@sanluis.gov.ar this is writing a mail to a computer over there... i dont know if it would go any further than the first sight, but you could try, lets be optimists. (search tags, "san luis musica argentina")
the other one would be through sony music. i can't help you there.
you could try, i think the rough situation is a world-wide matter, things are not going on so well... and going away doesnt make things better.
picture yourself this place is almost in the middle of nowere, i dont want to offend no one over there, but i couldnt last there more than two weeks i think...it is really shocking, besides san luis province is going great, there is no market for such a studio over there YET, that is why the sony deal comes up. i think they dont care to loose money, but they want to make the thing work and give cultural profit, and feed more families, besides any deal the government has with sony for the further ten years. the guys at san luis are famous for their endeavours and how they manage to place jobs for their people.
some more funky info: san luis has free wireless internet coberture in all the province with its 76.000 square kilometers (half mountains) and around 450.000 habitants. i really dont get them. they say almost everyone there has a job, what ever, painting the sidewalks, construction, and if you dont work it is because you dont want to, not because the lack of it. that may be why things look so good over there, not so common over here in buenos aires.

this is really off-topic sh!t, i am sory.
kind regards,
Patricio
