Talking Back in the saddle (for now)...

Hi, all. Well, I've picked up some work in the last month and wanted to share a movement from Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin that I recorded last weekend. Pretty good playing and I'm pleased with the recording.

I may have a major announcement soon for all of you that chimed in on my employment situation a few months back. Holding my breath...

Sounds great! What was your chain?

Also, big audience. Sounds like a great gig.

I tried out the new DPA 4041 T2's (newer tube version) with the Forssell pre/power supply on the mains (Fred was right about the magic of this combo!), 4003's w/40mm APE's on strings, Cadence L2 on the winds. Cranesong Spider into Nuendo@88K/24bit, with everything on balanced power. All tracks were time aligned to the main pair.

I am very happy that things are looking up for you. That's a killer list of hardware. I have not got the file yet, it is downloading. Good to hear from you.

Cheers

Very nice sound... Didn't know you had 4041s...
Is the reverb natural?

I added just a touch of it, Daniel, as the hall is very dry. Too much?

I don't think so, Mike ... the verb is very convincing to me. What verb did you use, BTW?

Sounds great as usual. Good to see you back "in action". thumbsup

Thanks, guys. I'll know what my future holds by Wednesday next week. If you're the praying kind...

Wouldn't say that - maybe I'd have added a touch less. Good sounding reverb, though.

I really ain't the prayin' kind, as you know. If you will make do with some atheistic fingers crossed, good luck.
