Question air conditioning for mobile rig

Ok,
just got the box truck, need to add air conditioning. What are the pros and cons of rooftop RV style AC units versus window mount homestyle AC units? I've got to cool a box 8'x12'x7'. I plan on insulating with sandwichs made from 2" celatex, 1/4" luan and rough cotton fabric. Ideas?

Thanx
Chris

How about a split air system?

Click on this > Split Air System

This system is also known as a ductless system...

No duct tape needed for this project.

Splits are great ... very quiet and can be placed in strategic locations.

Get a Dual Zone even for a small truck.

Not cheap but cheaper than a pro HVAC system ... highly recommended

I agree...

That's what we're putting in one of our trucks!

cut a circlular hole in two opposite sides. insert fans. fuuck

lol. just kiddin ya. couldn't you do some kind of "humidor" type thing? how would you institute that inside a truck? you know like the wine place and the cigar joint that you frewuent once every three years or so...

seems like a good idea to me. just popped into my head.

hi Steve,

Are the connectors ridgid or flexible? Is it possible to have one compressor serve two areas? Can the user (with military type hydraulic leakproof hoses - if such exists) swap the connector between two room units in the field?
