If Sennheiser in Germany knew anything about it at all.

It's normally only locally that these things are known about, and then only if you really keep your ear to the ground.

And then, it would not have been the local Sennheiser agent who needed to tell, but the dealer who the end user purchased from.............

And again - you can't go saying things until a decision is made - Government Departments say one thing one day and change their mind the next. In the UK, this time last year we were told that our current mobile frequencies would definitely remain unchanged - then later that they definitely would be changed - now we have a proposed new band. BUT - nothing is definite yet, and you can't go about spending money on a change until it is signed and sealed by the Government and they are just as likely to change their minds yet again - especially if the mobile companies decide to throw money at it.

This was decided on a few years ago and just took this long to actually put the auction together and have it.
It's a safe assumption that the big wireless mic companies weren't surprised by this and I did say that the dealers should have been told to disclose this.
I'm also not just talking about Sennheiser, they all did it. Sennheiser actually has one of the better rebate plans.
I can't bitch too loud though since my use has always been illegal anyway.
