LIVE SOUND In my area (Richmond, Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach), hiring a professional to provide and run a nice PA suitable for a rock band concert of two 45m-1hr sets starts at $350 and goes up to $750-$1000 depending on how many bands are on the bill, the length of the show, and whether lights are needed or not. Providing live sound in a large venue like an amplitheater may garner more. Will you be bringing and setting up all the equipment? Or is someone else taking care of that? Some of the NYC Remotesters like Steve could offer more local insight for you. Related Thread: Portable Location Recording Rates? |

How much are you worth? Seriously, a little more information would be helpful. What kind of venue? Corporate gig? Do you walk in and mix or have to set up equipment? Doing it for a friend or are you willing to charge full price?

Okay, since you want a number... If it's corporate, no less than $300, "rock band" $200-250.
