James Lock - I'm a great admirer of his work!
I hope he had a wonderful life...

James Lock, 1939-2009 | Recording Engineer, Chief Engineer at O Ganho do Som Studio in Lisbon, Portugal, Former Decca Music Group Chief Engineer, Passes Away

Jimmy Lock remembered - Gramophone Archive

A shame Jimmy Lock never got to finish his book. That would have been wonderful.

Thanks for extra links - didn't know he had a book on the way... let's hope it was finished enough to be made public at some point.

Jiminy Cricket, it's the end of the f*cking world.

We are leaving footprints in sand.

Will the last person in Western Civilization please turn out the lights?

It'll probably be an unpaid intern, at that.

Orson Welles in his final years actually had to audition for VO work. A friend of mine was in a LA studio waiting room crammed with voiceovers, when some Spotty Herbert appeared in the doorway, peered at a clipboard and in an adolescent yodel, stammered out, "Orson.....Willis?"

Welles laboriously got to his feet, painfully trudged towards the door, turned to the room and addressed nobody in particular: "Kids. I hate 'em."

Owwwww,
