I like the idea of the thing but bloody hell, how expensive is that?

I mean Jesus-H-Christ, It's just an adaptation of a fishing buzzer bar, thats taking the piss big style with the pricing, to give you all an idea with something along similar lines check this out........ <<Solar Full Stainless Steel Buzzer Bars>>

I can't be bothered to trawl the intranets to find other variations but they do exist that are on the same lines of the Grace kit, hey, I'm not Grace knocker, I love my 201

How many other product like this have recallable settings, to the cm?

To me, the recall allows for the elimination of a lot of variables, if you're trying to set up a scientific, dare I say engineering type approach to stereo recording.

Its got vertical, horizontal, and rotational detents.

Sure price is an issue, but it looks like they spent some time engineering it.

I like it, now they just need to make a Decca Tree version.

If you're looking for Decca Trees on this level quality-wise (or at least price-wise, I suppose it's a little early to speak on quality) you may want to check out some of the AES stuff...

Yes, I am familiar with the AEA mounts, good stuff. Similar price indeed.

Saw these at AES... If you saw them in person, you'd appreciate the fact that there really is nothing out there that fills the product void like this does. They are built really well and every setting on them is completely recallable from the angle and spacing of the mics to the angle of the bar.

For those of us in the classical world where you may have sessions on multiple days that you need to recall exactly, this fits the bill. For those of you that want to play with a long bar, you should probably save your money and DIY.

I saw this at the AES last year. It looks bad ass. Not a knock off. I thik they made them for fun at first, then decided is too cool not to sell.
