Thinking about getting Lavry Black AD10 as the second unit to be used with a PC laptop. What would be the best compact (and not too dear) way of getting the AES signal into the computer as the laptop does not have digital audio inputs?

You could use an Edirol UA-1EX, and use the optical input.
