Talking stability of 2882 record panel?

Hi all,

I know this topic comes up a lot but I have to ask the question anyway. I've been doing my research on this forum and around the web on what mobile rig I should invest in. At the core I've decided on:

Metric Halo Mobile I/O 2882 Expanded
Macbook (the generation with firewire)
usb 2.0 hard drive

for live recordings I would use the 2882's record panel and for studio sessions I would interface with Logic 8.

What concerns me is stability. I'm looking for peoples experiences of crashes when using the rp. I did a search on the site and gathered that stability issues only arise when interfacing with a DAW.

Send me your horror stories please.

Never had a problem with Record Panel when I owned Halos. Always rock solid, and more reliable than any DAW I've ever used in the field.

I'm guessing you won't get many horror stories unless they're rooted in user error. It really is a great tool for recording.

I'm recent to MH but have found the recording panel impeccable thus far.
