Question Edirol r4 pro question...Monitoring

One thing I really hate about monitoring from a camera is the fact that input 1 comes out one ear and input 2 comes out the other ear.

This bugs me even more when I am only using one mic..... if I am only using one mic I would like to hear it in both ears.

Is there anyway to set up the R4 so that it monitors in mono.... instead of 1L 2R 3L 4R

I used to have an R4, now I have the R44. If I push the headphone knob in, it switches between stereo 1&2, 3&4, then mono 1, 2, 3, 4, then mono with all tracks in. I think the R4 did that to...

I don't think so ..... the headphone knob on the R4 doesn't seem to move in or out

The R4 Pro has this function: you have to play with the Cursor/Monitor select buttons to reach the mono monitoring.
