Thanks so much, Kjetil.

I noticed that we were approaching the 5000th thread and was considering grabbing it to post something nice about the forum, but you beat me to it and, that okay with me.

We really built an awesome online environment with a lot of excellent information.
IMHO, the advice and enlightenment that you folks bring to this forum is the key to why the "Remote Possibilities in Acoustic Music & Location Recording" forum is the place to be.

Most of us act as associates rather than competitors and I really appreciate all the efforts in making our small community the better place to be.

More power to you and yours!

Needless to say, I'm very proud at what we have accomplished as a group.

Thank you for making my job as moderator of this fine forum an easy one!

What did I do to deserve that? It was just a question, I don't see thread numbers anywhere. So how did Kjetil know when exactly we had reached 5000?

I do appreciate this place a lot, I'm just not in much of a mood for celebrating right now for reasons that have nothing to do with GS. Please excuse the absence of congratulations etc. in my initial post - I will hereby add an official "what they said" with best wishes to mods and members...

EDIT: Oh, sorry - I see it now... See below. Excuse and forget the question...

That's kind of hard to believe when i really didn't think I would have the time to put into this forum.

And, that was over six years ago...

This post makes it 48 more posts before I hit 5000; wow!

Well this forum (Gearslutz in general) is the first one I've been heavily involved in, and it's been really great! Just passed 1000 posts myself.
