Hi, I'm trying to find a way to record up to 60-100 hours continuously with an mp3 recorder (with only one charge). The quality of the sound is not the top priority, just the length of the recording. I've found that the problem is not the size of the memory, but the battery. Is there any portable mp3 recorders, that would allow me to record such a long time in one take? Or is there a way to buy or build your own extension battery pack for equipment like Edirol, etc? Thanks for the reply. |

If the recording device can be powered by a DC (direct current) input then it would be possible to rig something with a few car batteries and some other stuff (I don't know enough about the specifics to say more).

Thank you for your replies! The audio quality can be compressed MP3 and even mono if needed. So therefore a few gigabytes should be enough. How about a small mp3 voice recorder with a custom built rig of multiple AA batteris? Is this possible? The unit should be fairly small. Thanks again! |

I would like to leave the recorder in an extremely far away location for days. It's part of an audiovisual art project.
