Edirol R44 field recorder that is, not the AEA mic. In the course of recording a jazz trio, I got this static sound for about 30 seconds on one tune. Before I go chasing down customer support and potentially have to return the unit, I thought I'd ask if this sounds like it could just be a bad SDHC card. Here's a short MP3 of the noise: |

Can I ask, are you recording via the digital in or via analogue in?Also do you use an external pre? I have a R44 I use via a sound devices pre, and have occasionally used it via digital. What cards are you using? I use SDHC OCZ class6 4GB. |
