hello wondering if anyone knows a bit about wiring a lavalire mic to a battery pack? i have a couple of sony ecm77 with no plugs/jacks on , just bare wires. there are 3 connections/wires per mic a ground bare copper twisted a white and a red i've managed to get them working with a 1.5v battery taking the red as the live signal and the copper as ground ,using the white as the positive for the battery and ground as the negative , it works o.k ,but i'm just wondering if there is a special way to wire these mics up to a balanaced input? knowing me im just using them as unbalanced. im about to solder them to a couple of xlrs and to a home made battery pack box , just hoped to keep their output balanced if possible? thanks for any help :P |
