Dual DM2000 Layer Tracking

We are prototyping the gear for our new remote truck in the shop. As many have done the consoles will be two DM2000 cascaded. One thing we want to do but have not been able to accomplish is have the channel layer controls tarck across both consoles. Seems like a simple thing but we can't find an option to enable that and they are not tracking at the moment. Any thoughts or is that just the way it is?

I'm not sure about tracking from the layer button (should be a way) but using midi and a user key might work?
