I'm using my MX2424 again, and I'v started a project in tape mode, and now I want to do some editing. Am I remembering correctly that you can change a tape mode project into non destructive? Damned if I can remember.... Anyone? cheers Gil

RTFM ...ahem! I have! ... which is why I'm asking here, because I think I remember doing this, thought some other old fart might still be using the mx. I can make a new project and import tracks. Gil

The MX2424's manual is useless... There are basically no instructions for the most basic of functions. Anyways, why don't you import your tracks across to a DAW and edit there? As I remember, the editing was pretty lame in that recorder... --Ben

Thanks for the reply... I have done the tracking and most of the editiing in pootools le, and dumped it back to the mx to mix down analogue. Want 24 OK mx outputs rather than 10 ok ones and 8 stink ones care of the 001. I want to be able to do any little adjustments and some volume stuff as required during the mixdown without having to bump tracks back to p.tools. Yep, the mx editing is lame...but ok up to a point. Cheers Gil
