Hi,

Is there a Studio listings directory ? I'm looking forward to record an album i'm producing and i want a beautiful sounding live room. Also an API console won't hurt either

Thanks

Galaxy studio's in Belgium have an Api Vision and rooms with great acoustics.

:::GALAXY STUDIOS::: Galaxy Studios is one of Europe's leading audio-facilities, with a cutting edge on next generation surround technology. We offer studio and remote recording, mixing, mastering and archiving in any given format.

From the website of Api:

API Vision All Discrete Surround Mixing and Recording Console

Why do you need a studio in Europe, there must be several good ones im Istanbul? Certainly don't go booking yourself into a European studio you don't know, even if it has an API. You would be better in a lesser studio that you feel comfortable in, rather than a top flight facility that you have to get used too. The API thing is a misnomer too, there are plenty of great tracking desks out there, a great band, a great vibe, a great acoustic, a truly competent engineer/producer are all much more important.

Problem is that these days a lot of studio's, even major ones are not necessarily members of the APRS. Showcase directories probably have a much better listing Showcase :: The international music industry guide , but, as I mentioned above, just hiring a great studio with a great desk is no guarantee of success. The right people, even working in a small home set-up might achieve much better results.

Of course it could be the hire a studio in Europe in order to get a booking confirmation so that a European visa can be obtained, but the European Embassies are wise to that scam.
