Anyone have any hunches about this? The Raven is a similar product but a dynamic.

I know, it does. I mean, I'm skeptical for sure... but I know that my band is going to genuinely need a great live vocal mic. If there's one thing we're all willing to shell out for, it's as high quality and flexable a live vocal chain as humanly possible. But it doesn't look like these eV things will be shipping any time soon, those are computer renderings of the mic I am pretty sure.

Looks like EV is going to be distributing BLUE... I got suspicious when I saw that it said EV Blue on the mic clip. The Blue plot thickens.

I think the Cardinal is sexy. I would love to have a mic that really upped the quality of live vocals, we're a band that wants to have a "hand rolled" sound as much as possible wherever we go, and the vocals for our band are just so intimate that we need gear that will be able to amplify the vocals on some songs that are very quiet. It'd be great to have a high quality low noise mic for the reasons. Maybe these are it?

Same thing w/ my band BA.

I mean, neumann's got the live mic, but it looks like I have white marble sinks and goldplated taps at home and the complete collection of liberace permanently installed in my car's cd player...

which I don't.

This, however, is an appealing mic to me, it's got a classic look but not nearly as corny as the shure one.

this wasn't in Blue's range previously was it ?

In the last few years EV has really been shit though. I tried There top live vocal mic and it was total crap. Yeah the one Bon Jovi (apperantly deaf) was useing. Utter crap sound so I have not much faith if they still have the same tone deaf engineers making their stuff. But who knows? Maybe they got fired...
