It's more about what you think sounds best.

Did you go and listen to those speakers yet?

hello~ thanks for reply
nope i didnt buy any pa speakers yet.
the DJ brought a couple beringhers and they sounded pretty horrible

i have a weird question sir
for small venues with about 130 people,
will studio monitors work fine?
i looked for some speakers with lots of WATTs
and i found Mackie HR824 or JBL LSR4328P both have like 250 watt on each monitor. that seems like enough for vocal and piano. and in the future, i could buy 2 more and make it surround sound.

or should i just get a pair of loudspeakers??

thank you!

Normal CRM monitors do not have enough throw to reach the audience.
I would grab a pair of active PA speakers since they are designed for what you're looking for.
Whatever you deside make sure you get a chance to listen to them before you buy them.

If you were going to go with the SRM series consider the SRM450s instead.
