Hi all, I was on vacation with some friends from my choir in Gotland, Sweden last week and we went out to find a church to record some choir songs just for fun. Some of the songs were new to us so we had to learn them there on the spot. No rehearsals before, just 2,5 hours of recording. I did some cut and paste work between takes where we screwed up or when a large truck passed the church. Two or three takes for each song. All in all a pretty fun experience. Now to the recordings: Microtech Gefell M296 in A-B on a K&M stereo bar (roughly 35 CM between the mics) directly into a KORG MR-1000 @ 1 bit 2,8 MHz DSD. Post processing includes some Izotope RX to clean up some parts where there was lots of background noise and some cut/paste between takes. Izoptope Ozone for Dithering. No eq, reverb or compression. Three gain rides where there was excessive volume. No, I did not shoot any pics of myself.. http://www.livingsound.se/sandakyrka.zip |
