Question Inward Connections - Boutiques Audio?

Does anyone know anything about the ultra cool gear shown in the ads in the back of Mix magazine the last few months? The ads are from Boutique Audio and the gear is from the guy behind the Inward Connections rack from several years ago. It's advertised as front and back ends for your DAW and the gear all has that 50's era, big knob styling that a few of us have never outgrown. There is an 8 mic preamp sidecar, a 16x2 summing bus and a master control section among others. The Boutique Audio website has been revised to include all of this cool gear and much more, but there is very little info available yet. Just wondering if anyone has actually seen any of this stuff or is it still in the future? On looks alone, its some of the coolest gear ever

Steve Firlotte is a true audio genius...came to town with modifications to Lenny kravitz' API monitor section...big improvement.

Talking

Dad-gum Alpha...don't hold back! Tell us you REALLY think about it

(Really...without having heard it, I agree with you...but I haven't heard it...perhaps an audition would change that)

uh.... probably not change the fact that i think it is too much $$$ for the CR rackbox. $3200. now i can get high end audiophile preamps for that price or much less. say like an audio research preamp for $2400[list]... the only thing i would be missing is the talkback function, and i can build a simple talkback for cheap.

the pre's might be worth the dough... or the comps. i dunno. but i was a bit blown away on the CR box price.

i dunno...the control room section may be the most important part of a console..

depends on what kind of console... an analog console, it definately isnt the most important part. nor for a digital console. my point is that there is a lot of audiophile grade stuff for less. $3200 seems a bit obscene against what else is out there. for a grand more than the others, it better sound absolutely transparent at all levels [and tubes really arent the best candidate for that]... especially direct from who is making the gear [at least thats my assumption]

$2k is about the top end for a 2channel deal.

im looking at the Benchmark DAC1 instead, $795 for DAC's WITH volume control and apparently no-jitter even with flawed input. no talkback though, i could figure something out.

I'm very curious how this stuff stacks up against the other Inward stuff.
