I don't think you can put Lennon and McCartney in competition with each other.
What they accomplished together had as much impact on the the music that followed as Miles, Bird or Satchmo did in their time. Same with Ray
Charles and maybe punk too.

The Grammy's were an improvement up to that point. That version of "Across the Universe" rivaled Janice's wardrobe malfunction. Bad mix,
uncertain performances and a real embarrassment. I wonder who did the mex?

probably would have been worse if you could actually hear them..think they could have taken the time to learn the song (for charity)rather than trying to out vocal each other out of tune...sad. the grammys were actually a lot better this year..the opening was great.
