Exclamation Need leads on a great L.A. Area Recording Engineer for LIVE DVD in August, HELP!

Been lurking these forums for some leads for the last few days, I figured I should just post something and see if that helps me get where I need to go with this. If you can do this I would love to hear some samples of a live recording, or if you (Steve, I could definitely use your help on this part) know someone in the area that would do this project for its price range ($1000 for 10 hours of work), or you have an idea of some places I can look or people I can ask to start getting contacts, I would greatly appreciate what you can contribute. This is just for the recording, I already have someone set to mix the recording. My contact info is at the bottom, or just post a reply, I'll be checking this post alot.

I've recently been granted the opportunity to direct a live DVD/tour documentary for two indie bands, and we will be completing it with a multi-cam shoot/recording either at the Troubador on August 20th, or we will be recording/filming both dates at The Chain Reaction in Anaheim on August 22nd and 23rd.

Very low budget, these are all indie bands that have started their new projects from previously successful indie bands, and area all releasing their new debut albums in early august and all heading out together for a tour.

The bands are Person L (ex lead singer from The Starting Line's new band) and Good Old War (ex members of Days Away, they also serve as Anthony Green's backing band) and the two bands are on tour with Anthony Green (Anthony Green isn't going to be featured on the film though).

Here's the scoop, your probably looking at 16 channels max, 2 nights of work, 5 hours each night, 90 minutes of actual recording time each night. I already have an amazing person set up to mix it (Jay Trammell, I think he cruises these forums, he's the man), so all I need is the location recording.

It needs to sound great, or else the whole project is wasted, every sample I've seen posted on this forum is, and this looks like a smaller project then most people here are used to. But it should be a relatively easy project for someone to make a quick buck with a few hours of work.

My budget is tight, but I can reserve $1000 of the budget tops for recording the two nights if the person has all of their own gear (or can borrow what they need) and it buys me the peace of mind that the recording will sound great after its mixed. I know its not much, but its what I have to work with. Thats 10 hours of work, $100 an hour for the right person.

Thank you in advance to any help you guys can offer, I'm very overwhelmed with getting this project together in time and this so far is proving the be the hardest piece of the puzzle.

Sent you a PM. Might have someone who could do the gig on his own.

Your Place Or Mine Recording.

BTW if its in Anaheim that's an hour driving each way from LA, and $500 to provide the gear, engineer and commute a total of 2 hrs is asking a lot.

I'm in Carlsbad, about an hour south, and can get you sorted with a fly pack and engineer for that amount. Split, apogee, PT , yadayada.

world class references.
