Question Portable drive suggestions

What are considered (aka conventional wisdom) to be reliable, physically small, lite, portable firewire drives in the 100 gig to 250 gig range. Want to bring work on vacation.

Also, any thoughts/experience using a some 32 gig flash drives to transport sessions?

Thanks.

these look pretty cool..

OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro FireWire 400 + USB 2.0 Combo Storage Solutions up to 1.0TB at OtherWorldComputing.com

had great service from OWC thru the years... good place for reasonably priced drives and RAM and wonderful tech support. when you order RAM for your mac they'll send you specific installation instructions for your exact mac model.. including pics and specific explanation of what screwdriver to use... etc..

IMO its the best store for mac accessories

I also use OWC! For portable I have two small enclosures --

OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro 2.5" Portable Oxford... (MOTGPRO) at OWC

I get a 2.5 hard drive, 250 GB and I'm good to go. One of them has sounds for traveling and composing, and the other I use for remote recording -- my external audio drive.

this would be great if they were fast enough to work.. no moving parts.

unfortunately they seem to be much slower than hard drives.
