Thoughts on this splitter...

http://www.directproaudio.com/produc...directid=53837

Seems kinda cheap cost wise. Think it's usable? Cheap transformers I guess... Any clue?

100 foot main length terminating to fanout for main FOH console

12 XLR mic channels

4 1/4" TRS return channels to FOH trunk

22 gauge conductors

100% shielding on all channels

Heavy duty, flexible PVC jacketing

Industrial wire mesh cable grips used on box and fan end

Custom Options Available: Call 866-444-8090 for a custom quote

Transformer isolation

Groundlift switches

Multi-pin disconnect for box and fan

XLR returns

32, 40 and 48 mic channels

Split return lines to monitor trunk

Note: Only microphone channels are ÓsplitÔ to the monitor trunk fanout. Return lines can be split if necessary for an additional fee. To help alleviate problems with coiling and storing splitter snakes we highly recommend multi-pin disconnects at the box position for the monitor trunk.

That looks like it may be a parrallel split. It seems that the transformers are listed under custom options.

Oh yeah, your right. I'm not gonna get it anyway. Just bought 4 Horizon MS-4's the other day. Tomorrow I'm getting some canare 16 channel snake cable and 64 XLR connectors to make 2 decent fan snakes. After all this output I should have just bought a decent splitter already made with better transformers. I plan to swap in jensons as I can afford to. Should be a good rig. I just hope the test run goes well and doens't introduce any noise the lifes can't take care of. (fingers crossed)
