| Hi-end speakers and DBX DriveRack
The first system that I tried the DBX DriveRack with was composed mostly of JBL SR-X cabinets, powered by 6,000 watts of Crest amplifiers per side. Bear in mind that that was just part of the whole 40,000 watt system. The system sounded better with the DriveRack than it did with the Ashley active crossover and Ashley 1/3rd octave equalizer. So I had already put my money into good amps and speakers, and the DriveRack made the system sound even better. I have to assume that a more spendy unit would work even better. YMMV. wurly Where's Tom Cram when I need him? |
