Hi I just bought an RCF 310a powered speaker. It sounds good when I plug my mixer in and play guitar and sing through it, but there is a hiss coming from the tweeter. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't notice it in a live situation, but it seems quite loud in my living room. I have to put my ear to the grill to hear any hiss from the main speaker, but the hiss coming from the tweeter is coming out pretty clear. It does this even with nothing plugged in and the volume all the way down. Turning up the volume does not affect it at all. Is this normal for powered PA speakers? Anyone else have an RCF speaker that does the same thing? Just want to make sure I don't have a defective tweeter. |

Yes, this is normal, remember that this is the total amount of noise this system makes relative to its maiximum SPL. Regards Roland |
