| Hey guys, I'm new to the site.I'm looking for interested parties to work in a project involving the recording of santeria music here in miami.I know several of the musicians that play in the rituals, and are interested in such project.I have no experience in recording music and was wondering if somebody here was interested to maybe work with me in such project. Thanks, Oscar |

| Oscar - Man, that sounds like a great thing. I wish I were closer but I am in Oregon which is about as far away as you can get. You might try taperssesction.com, too. They are oriented towards lightweight field recording and have some folks in FL that might just jump on this. Do not forget to bring a chicken! ;o)

| Talk about an interesting assignment! I don't even know how many musicians would be involved in such a thing. If it's not too many, you ought to be able to get pretty good results with a "true stereo" recording using just two or three mikes. I'm wondering what kind of recorder you will be using. -CAG

| I'm in Miami, and got my first taste of doing that sort of thing a few years ago. Interesting stuff! Drop me a PM or email if you want to talk. |
