I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the Schoeps Attenuator DZC 10 or DZC 20 db pad? It is installed between the capsule and the microphone body. I need to buy an attenuator of some sort, high sound quality is necessary (of course)... perhaps a simpler XLR one would be great. Any advice available on the subject? |

It is best to get the Schoeps one as it attenuates the signal *before* it overloads the mic. amp in the Schoeps body. An XLR one only comes into effect *after* the Schoeps body and may be too late.
