Might be slightly off topic. But I've noticed that some of the newer car radios have aux in's and usb ports. So I guess I'm wondering that if I use an RCA to 1/8" cable from my Korg MR-1000 to the car radio's aux-in can I get DSD quality audio out of my car radio? Not that I hold any hope of my stock car speakers equaling studio monitors. But it might be usefull to give a sample/demo of what got recorded to more than just one person with a single pair of headphones at a time. Without lugging around a lot of gear and battery packs. My curiousity is mainly due to needing a new car stereo. The stock one on my Aveo doesn't play CDs very well. i.e. If the car is in motion. The Road Master Vr3 series seem capable for not a lot. Anyone use a vrvd630? Any car stereos out there with pro quality DA converters or SACD or DSD capabilities? I'm not looking for a lot of features, just something that has USB flash drive capability, maybe an aux in, and maybe even a built in CD player. I don't need GPS, I don't need DVD, I don't need XM Radio. I just want to play my media on my schedule. For the flash drive it'd be nice if it could play CD audio quality in wav or cdr form, not just mp3, wma, etc... No personal experience with one yet, so I can't just assume that they can play wav files from a usb flash drive. My current one can play mp3 CDs, sometimes better than audio ones. And less picky about the mp3 type than my Korg MR-1000. But my current car radio / cd player suffers from the same slew of issues with either mp3 or audio cds. Insert... FILECHECK... waiting waiting waiting... ERROR 9... Eject... Polish and cool... Repeat... 3rd times a charm... And it resets the volume to a whisperish 10 everytime you stop the engine. I so need better gear. Or is this the way of the world? There is nothing better, be happy and move on. Thanks in advance... |
