Question smaller sub for live- keyboards

I pump split bass and keyboard with various boards Roland etc. For live app, I find that a sub adds weight to my bass lines especially in the higher octaves.
My current sub- 2 x 15 community is too unwieldy
i seek
one cab
not too big- maybe a 10. or 12, or 15, tops.
Not too power hungry/ better to be pwred
AND an electronic dialable Xover, so i can pick which frequencies go where

i tend to not like most subs- balance in the full frequency range is cruciial. Ppl overdo the bass end with subs!
Since quality is paramount - are all subs equal in terms of quality of sound?
The frequencies are so low, most ppl may not care, manufacturers might get sloppy?
I have no idea of quality as a reality in subs.

I need to easily have the powered sub come out of the mixer i assume?
I have not purchased a new mixer yet ( I am revamping an older system including mackie 1202 ) so given these details: 1. Xover issue, 2. smaller sub, 3. powered, i thought i should mention that i am in market for sub and a tiny, if possible, mixer.

Thanks

The quality of a sub is no different than the quality of anything else out there -- you get what you pay for.

What's your current rig set-up?
I'm wondering why a full range bass rig doesn't do the trick for you?
