The band I work for is looking to add some tracks to their show. I've heard about a pad of some sort that you can use to trigger the playback from protools. Has anyone heard of this and know anything about it?

A percussion pad through a TD-20 (or various other MIDI-capable modules, I suspect) can be set up to trigger a sequence. I've set up pad triggers to start internal and external sequences, but I don't see any reason why it could not work with a PT playback. thumbsup

might be worth looking at abelton live lite that came free with your pro tools. its much more MIDI friendly in terms of assignments and loops and FX can be triggered too. any MIDI controller will do (like the one mentioned above) |
