Hi I am looking to get a microphone/line splitter for live recording where i can take 16-24 channels direct from stage mics into my own recorder but at the same time being able to easily integrate with in house PA systems without affecting the FOH or making it hard for in sound guys.. The unit im looking for will need isolating transformers so i can run my own phantom power on pre amps.. Does anyone have any recommendations ? Im looking to get something which is going to do the job without costing me an arm and a leg. |

So, you want to get the direct and give the FOH the isolated feed from your splitter? You may have a problem with that. Many FOH / MON engineers would rather take the direct so they can power their own mics and not have any level change, especially when on tour or even a club situation. Integrating with the house PA systems should not be a problem as long as you have the right interfacing. Only one feed should power the mics. Whomever gets the direct should be using the phantom power from their preamps section.
