![]() Ok for the HD24 and the XR version, is it true that I can buy the EC-2 converter card upgrade to make the 24 a 24XR? Does it also mean the XR converters sound better even at 44.1/48khz, cos paying for a 96khz card which makes it a 12 track recorder doesn't make much sense in real world economics.... And how far off are these two converter versions compared at 44.1/48? ![]() I have join the HD24 yahoo group as advised by one of the you guys....will dig for more info on the unit... And the 24-channel unisolated "Poor Man's splitter" mentioned by edwinhurwitz is so affordable ![]() ![]()

| With all the threads on splitters and such, I cannot believe you would consider buying a non-isolated splitter system. Transformers are your friends as long as they are of quality. IMHO, save up and buy a transformer isolated splitter or buy nothing at all. Some folks have purchased 8 channels at a time for a variety of reasons; one being economics.

Better to go hungry for a few months. On the other hand, my spending habits mean I've been going hungry continuously for about six years now! But I think I finally see some light at the end of the tunnel.
