Talking Homemade Pipe Organ!!

I have to give props to my buddy who put this pipe organ together at his house. This organ consist of over 900 pipes he has collected from various churches and other places that were throwing away their pipes over years and years. Some of the larger pipes are so big that he had to cut a hole in his floor so they could fit.

I knew a guy in Monrovia, Ca. that repaired organs and player piano mechanisms and he had constructed a totally massive pipe organ in his building. It was so big you could stand inside it while it was playing. He closed the place and sold the building years ago but it was a pretty wild thing to stand inside an operating pipe organ.

Beautiful, in the best, mad way.

And to think the females complain when we want a Hammond....

There was someone back home in Denmark, had a powerful lust for a pipe organ, but not the ceiling height to accomodate...he laid the big 'uns, vox humana and the 16hz monsters, , under the basement ceiling like plumbing...
In a moderate-sized, suburban home....talk about rocking the joint. I do hope his neighbors liked classical.

Do you have any recordings of the FrankenOrgan?

Claus.
