I am needing to get some small mics to add a little presence to a choir located behind an orchestra and am considering the 4060/4061s. I understand the difference in sensitivity and noise levels between them, but am wondering if I will really notice the slightly higher noise from the 4061 given the ambient noise in most venues. Would be grateful for comments from those who have used both. Thanks. Larry |

Probably not, but I also doubt your choir could attain 134 dB (clipping level on the 4060's), so I always opt for a quieter mic. Both will do the job well, but I often find my 4060's noisy on critical stuff - 4061's are a bit noisier, so it'd be a good idea to rent/audition some to see if they'll work for you and your needs. cheers, |

Do you really need the higher headroom of the 4061? the 4060 is allready able to handle more noise than I.
