Passive DIY approach can work, but you need very low capacitance cable and a very short run from the attenuator to the amps. Just getting hip to this, after for a long time losing some highs by using the usual Canare cable after the passive attenuator. Not a good idea to monitor through a Mackie! Or anything substandard- you'll be "fixing" nonexistant problems all day long. Looks like there's some nice pieces out there for this important place in the chain! |
