I may be directing/shooting a live DVD for a band on 4/21. I don't wast to have to worry about the audio myself, so I'm looking for someone who has 8 or more channels of portable digital recoding. I'm thinking along the lines of an LE system with 8 ins or a MOTU 896 and then record it all with a laptop. This would mean bringing 8 mics and cables I haven't been given an official budget yet, and the cleint is notoriously cheap. If you're in NYC and have the gear and availability send me a PM with your minimum rate and I'll see if I can make it happen. I'm pretty set against anything like a VS880 or anything that will require me to do a real time transfer later. There's no need to worry about syncing to the video as that will all be handled in post.

So, I'm thinking you may get more leads if your thread was in the proper forum for location recording and such... Here you go!

I'm happy to see the system works! We are all connected -- and, it's not just a remote possibility. Let us know how it went!!! |
