Question Combo Flight Case for Mac Pro and 19" Gear

Anyone point me in the direction of a company that sells the flight case at the lower right of the attached image, with a MacPro sitting next to a 12-space rack? I need one of these...

Thanks.

That looks like a JDM Mobile flypack. Maybe Jimmy will confirm? and tell us all where he got that cool case?

While I don't know exactly where they got those cases, I found this company that makes something similar.

those Nashville cases look very cool!

On a side note, I'm wondering if anyone has had an adverse experience running their G5 on it's side? I know Marathon used to make rack kits years ago for G3s & G4s. The only issue that comes to mind would be burning CDs & DVDs while the tray is vertical? Does it still work o.k.? Has Apple weighed in on this?

JDM Mobile road cases

Yes, the picture listed is one of our many configurations used as a flypack. Thank you for spreading our pictures Daedalus77. We use a guy in Atlanta who builds custom cases. His company is AVS-Duracase in Atlanta, GA. The owner is Jim Forbes and what a great human and case builder he is. I highly recommend his work and ability to think beyond making a buck.

We experimented with the rack hardware and then just decided to build a more soft enclosure for the G5 and Mac Pro’s. We have five "pack" systems now in various configurations.

Thanks! Jimmy

Hey Michael!
I would not personally recommend putting a G5 or Mac Pro on it's side, but I know a few people who do. It is more of a pain for CD/DVD drive opening and closing for us(as you mentioned). In addition, the G5 was liquid cooled and something about that just didn't sound like a good idea. Maybe it would be fine for Mac Pros. That's my quick two cents.

not the cheapest, but they build some of the best cases in the world. I've seen Claire, LSD, 4th Phase, OZ Fest and others using them. I saw a Mac Pro rig the other day that was great.
