I'm wondering if anyone has experience using the DM-4800 in a live setting. I have a lot of small gigs coming up where 24 inputs and one of my small Meyer rigs would get the job done. I would be doing FOH, 4-6 monitor mixes and recording. I know there are no subgroups or matrices, but I can work around that. My initial questions are, 1) Is this unit robust enough for live use? 2) Are the dynamics usable? 3) Do the aux outputs have eq and dynamics? 4) What the hell does pseudo balanced mean? (aux outs) 5) Is the interface something you can deal with under fire? I've been using my ancient Mackie D8B for small gigs occasionally (with an analog backup close by) and I love being able to load in myself without the racks of processing. I've considered the obvious Yamaha choices, but would like some more info on the Tascam unit. I tried the Mackie tt24 and was unimpressed. Any input would be appreciated.
