Exclamation How About a Spring 2008 Remotester Get Together in the Poconos?

Seems like there is a get together every spring in NYC.

Maybe it's time for a trip to the country. I would love to host one on my 23 acres. I'm about 1 1/2 hours from NYC and Philadelphia. That's not too far. This is the Remote Possibilities Forum!

Breathe the fresh air, take a walk in the garden, get Zen by the Koi pond, drink Belgium beer. I'll even fire up the wood burning pizza oven. Umm, pizza and beer!

Or hang out in the studio and listen to the Barefoot MM-27's.

It might be crazy, but what do you think?

If not, let's do it in NYC.

Bongo, it sounds like huge fun!

Count me in...of course, until a gig comes up.

Have a date in mind?

ANY Remotester getaway is a great opportunity to share good karma!

I've been lurking here for a while, and enjoy the list immensely. I'd love to get together with the group in the Poconos. Count me in!

Lehigh Valley International (ABE) is fairly close, and really easy to get in and out of.

This is starting to sound like a party.

I was thinking about early May, enough time to put it on the calender and not book something else! What works for you guys? Is a weekday better then a Sunday? When are you less likely to be booked?

This is my 20th year in this studio on this property. Let's party!

Your place looks great! Count me in. I gather you've got room to park a few remote trucks on your lot?

Weekdays - mon, tues, wed are usually best in my world. Weekends are usually booked with gigs.

Yes plenty of room. we could have a Monster Remote Truck display. I'll have mine there!

How about Monday May 12th?

If it doesn't work out, you can't say I didn't try!

I may be interested in showing up. I think the Poconos would about 5 hours away by car from Pittsburgh?

The gathering is on the 12th.
Your the 12th guest to chime in.
And, it's your 12th wedding anniversary.

Pretty wild.

Kent has a beautiful studio in a gorgeous setting! I'd love to see the place. I'd love to meet you folks, too - however, other travels intervene. Here's hoping I get to see some of you at the AES this year.

Have fun!

I'm in the process of relocating to the states, actually western Pennsylvania to be exact. This sounds like a great chance to meet some of you nice folks I've only read about. I was hoping to meet some of you when I was working in NYC last spring, but didn't get a chance to do much of anything due to a hectic recording schedule.

Local help!

Hi Kent, Steve and all!

I want to come meet you all in Poconos, but I would need some local help!!!

OK, I will be there from 8-9 to 13-14. I would love, love to get to see some of you working, so if I can attend some recording it would complete my travel plan!!!

Back to gearslutzism, I may be interested to buy some mics during my trip too. Maybe Senheiser's 8040 and 8020. Steve, you said somewhere that if we were interested in MKHs we tell you, here I am telling you!

I'm free on the 12th and would like to come. Pizza sounds excellent.

Anyone want to carpool to save $$ on gas? I live in NYC and don't have a car so I'd have to carpool (hitch a ride) with someone.

It's official, Videoteque is coming all the way from Rome! I'll be picking him up at Newark airport on the 8th and taking back on the 13th. He'll be staying in one of our guest rooms. I'm sure he'd like to take a visit to NYC. Would anyone like to show him around the city?

There is a bus that goes between Port Authority and Delaware Water Gap several times a day if you want to come and don't have a car. We will pick you up and take you back.

There is another guest room and two couches in the studio for anyone who is traveling far.

Feel free to bring your wives, partners, significant others, or what ever they are called these days, unless of coarse, there is some kind of forum rule about that!

It's going to be fun!
