Hoping to hear from more people but if we don't have quantity we certainly have quality.

Once again, we have one guest room still available and sofas to crash on if you don't want to make the drive back home that evening.

There is also a list of hotels and points of interest here.

See you tomorrow.

I'm very sorry but I'm not going to be able to make it. Just got off the road and am trying to recover from the flu. I hate to miss it as I'm sure it will be a great time.

Hi, I was called for a gig on Monday, and will not be able to attend. Sorry for the short notice, but unfortunately I can't turn down work.

Please give my slices to Steve... want to make sure he gets enough pizza. You always want to keep those hard working moderators full and in a good mood!

Yes, at least one slice from every pizza baked should go to Remoteness.

Thumbs up

I want to be the first to publicly thank our wonderful hosts, Kent and Lois for putting on such an awesome party.

It was a pleasure from start to finish.
I really didn't want to leave their fabulous environment.

Their attention to your comfort was second to none.
...And, those pizza pies were absolutely fantastic -- I'm still thinking about them.
Can you FedEx a few over to NYC?

More power to you folks!

Furthermore, it was great to put the faces to the names.
I also want to thank Videoteque for coming from Italy for this event.
dbsound1 trekked from the DC area for this one.
Indrestudios brought his remote truck and his chili and cornbread was perfection!
It was great to chat with, listen (playback sessions galore) and hang with everyone else that came.

I trust you folks will chime in when you get a chance.

Let us know you most memorable part of this groovy event.

Kent and Lois, Thanks for an amazing time. It was a true pleasure to meet you both, and to come and see your place. The food was amazing! the studio is truly something to behold. I hope I can return the favor soon.

Thanks also to all of the other slutz that came out. As a primarily classical cat it is always a treat to get to hang out with and discuss how the other half lives. Having come from a rock and jazz background i miss all of the wonderful toys you guys get to use!

Michael your truck is awesome. When your down this way I'd love to see it in action. Thanks for bringing it out!

All and all this was a great way to get in gear for the upcoming summer season. Relaxing, informative, and just down right fun!

Well, now it's back to work!

More of the same sentiments here.
Huge thanks to Kent and Lois for your incredible hospitality, and for opening your home to a group of relative strangers. The house and gardens are beautiful, and Red Rock is an amazing studio, with a great gear, a great live room and really sweet sounding control room (those Barefoots did not disapoint).
The pizza was delicious. I lost track of how many slices I had but I'm pretty sure it hit double digits, plus 2 bowls
of Michael's chili, and lots o' Belgian beer!
Many memorable stories from the road, the studio, and life in general were shared among all the Slutz in attendance. Very cool to learn so much about everyone else's experience, backgrounds, techniques, and gear, and to hear examples of the excellent work you've all done.
I'm proud to be part of such a cool, diverse and talented community of folks, and I can't wait for the next one!
Peace,
thedoner (Gordon)

Thanks Ed.

Very cool responses up until now.

Just thinking out loud: I trust we didn't make too much of a mess for Kent and Lois after we left.
For the most part I think we were okay about it.

Again, you folks rawked!!!

Hi - Lois here
no worries! I don't mind cleaning up for Kent's pizza (I'd say it's worth it!)
and you were very neat, helpful, and great bunch of people.
we support each other - so one day of clean-up is nothing compared to a lifetime of helping each other out!

I was at work today, and just got around to seeing all your posts... thanks for all the nice comments... really, it was a pleasure having all of you. It's nice to know there is a community out there that supports one another
OMG - it's like you're women!!! :)

Kent's been back to work in the studio - I know he'll catch up with you... but in the meantime.. here's the photos I took.

Man, I had such a great time with Kent, Lois and our fellow Remotesters that I really wanted to share the pictures I took during lunch time at the studio complex.

I do my best to capture the moment...

What do you think?

Here are three more pictures for your review...

Enjoy them as much as we enjoyed Kent and Lois' company!

Hey, if anyone has a few additional pictures to show, please upload them when you can.
