I've got a Canon HV20 camcorder that has a 3.5 mm stereo minijack. Is it possible to connect an external mic with a preamp or a mixer input to the minijack? I know I can connect using a stereo mini to dual XLR's but I'm concerned about damaging the input to the camera if there's too much juice going to it. Thanks. |

you can buy some decent mics like some HEBs from coresound. These are made with dpa 4060's. Alternately, you could get a couple of DI boxes since your camera is lookng for mic level. Frost |
