Exclamation Need Small High Quality PA Louvain Belgium Feb 15

Sorry about the title, but this is very specific. I will be mixing a concert in Louvain Feb 15th. Small venue, max 200 people. 9 Musicians. Irish Trad/Classical music.
Grand piano plus Strings, Horns , Irish instruments and two singers.
I need to hire a physcally small high quality PA system, which would hang from struts in the building. I am thinking maybe six Nexo PS8's, I sub. Small Yamaha Digi Mixer.
20 Channels, Shure SM81/Neumann KM184 or similar condensers.
I am sure they also will want to record it at least in stereo.
2 Wedge monitors or two more Nexos. Any Slutz out there who could supply suitable gear for this?
Best Regards, Dan FitzGerald

You can contact
New Page 2

They maybe do not have the PA you want, but I do know that they have good gear and the know how for this kind of work.
They are situated in Leuven/Louvain.

Give them my regards !

Althought not situated in Belgium, you could contact Marco van der Does from MD Sound & Light in Holland.
He is a friend of mine and got his own rental company and is a capable engineer and is used to supply equipment around Europe.
He got all the equipment you need, Yamaha digi mixer, Nexo (or Meyer Sound), neumanns etc.

His website:

Just say Angelo has recommended him.

Good luck!

if your asking for a specific PA i would go for 2 PS 15 a side (4 total) rather than PS8s. PS15s are better speakers and 2/4 boxes are made to fit together where as 3/6 cabinets will be harder to make work together. if you want to take another step up GEO S12 systems can be setup however you want and retain clarity were PS15s start to drop off but if you dont need the power of many boxs they are probably a bit of over kill.

sorry i cant help with any local company but if you contact the distributer for the area they should be able to tell you what companies in the area have the stock you need.

Try vdb-pa, they have Nexo, high quality outboard en mics AND are nice people.
They're not in Louvain, but they work there a lot.
VDB-PA flash site / sound and PA

And too bad I have a gig the 15th, or I would've come to check it out.
Louvain native here...

How did the show go?
Did you find a suitable PA?

Thanks

Hi, thank you all very much for your suggestions. I did contact both PA sources. One was unavailable and the other quoted. Both very perfect for the job.
Other factors led us to chose another company- Ampli. They supplied excellent equipment and the PA engineer Pieter Doms was extremely helpful.
The show went very well and was greatly enjoyed by all present, including the Irish Ambassador!
