Question Recording duet piano w/ only 2 mics!

I have been asked to record a piano duet on friday. I have a BLUE Baby Bottle and an SM57. How on earth would any of you go about tackling this situation? Should I room mic it?? Put one on each piano? Please help!!

Thanks!

rent or borrow mics

really

if that reallly reaally really isn't an option

then get the mic up in the air (maybe 8ft) and descently away equidistant from both pianos, and just listen for the right spot when they are playing, even if you have to stand on a ladder

It would best to have at least a good quality pair though

i had thought about renting but actually don't know of any places around here that rent mics...I'm sure there are though and that's what I should do. Just didn't know if anyone wanted to be creative...

spend $80 for a new 57, at least you'll have the same kind of mic on each piano. then use the bb for the room mic.

i hope you have nice pre's.
