Ever wonder what Roger Daltrey's Shure 58 used to hear as he swung it around his head by it's cable on stage? Came across an old cassette from my Record Plant Remote days from the Who tour in '82 labeled "whirl-a-mic"; just too good not to share.

...And, no "auto-tune" device was harmed in the making of that vocal track!

He's still at it! Took this at a Trans Siberian Orchestra show in Dec. He came out and did Behind Blue Eyes, Pinball Wizard, and See Me, Feel Me Still sounds pretty damn good.

I actually saw one of their new shows in Columbus and I was wondering about that. Sounds quiet enough that you won't hear it in the mix, but man I'd cringe if I was that engineer.
