Funny you should mention "shore power"... the iso transformer I'm looking at is actually meant for connecting to shore power. The funny thing is 1) it's half the weight and size of the transformer that's sold to go with my UPS - despite having a higher rating 2) it's about two-thirds of the price 3) it has 110v taps on the input and output, which is cool to have even if I'm unlikely to ever use them.
