Hey fellows, I have a budget of about 2300 bucks. I need mics for kick, snare, three toms, individual cymbals (4), bass di, guitar di, guitar mics (57s), room mics, 8 channels mic pre adat in, 4 channels mic pre analog in or 2 channels analog 2 spdif. help me I've gotta put this together by mid january and I need bang for buck. I'm thinking digimax, art mpa digital, tl audio 2 channel, (4) 57s, d112, (3) at2020s, (4)mxl 603s for cymbals and pzms for the room. sans amp for bass, countryman or jdi for guitar. this adds up close plus rack and cable, gimme some feedback gents. thanks, M

I moved your thread to the remote (live and location among other things) forum. I believe this is the better forum for your questions.

I suggest Audix D series for drum mics - D2, D4, D6. i5 for snare. I just like their sound better than 57s and D112, if they fit your budget! L |

for the money is there a noticeable difference in the quality of the digimax FS vs. the LT. I know the fs is class a but what if any is the real difference in sound quality. thanks M

I've posted this before, but here is an entire CD I recorded with only the Digimax LT: www.edamaxym.com - there's a link to samples on her site... L |

I'm at my gpa's house and he doesn't have speakers on his puter! but in your opinion between the LT, FS, and an RME 8 channel unit for the money, is it worth it to spend the extra bucks. I'm trying to make these purchases as transferable as possible between live recording and the studio.
