Question Neumann KM140 as Shotgun?

I know a Schoeps CMC6 with MK41 can pull it off, but can a KM140 do it?

I don't understand your question..
A km140 has a fairly broad cardioid.. There's a hypercardioid capsule for the km series, but still hardly a shotgun.. Also, the neuman km mics are very very noisy (handling noise) if used in a boom/rycote..

my question is if a KM140 can pull it off like a CMC6 with the hypercardiod, but I guess that answers my question, it can't... too much handling noise.

So is Schoeps, you need soft touch to boom with those aswell.
Neumann hyprcard. is used quite often, Haun also but Schoeps
is the standard for indoors dialoque.
