Question Advice on recording harpsichord

Hi. I need some advice regarding the recording of a harpsichord I have coming up late december.
Can anyone recommend microphones and an appropriate micing technique?
The harpsichord will be featured alongside a Baroque chamber style orchestra playing classic selections e.g Mozart .
Thankyou in advance.

Ronnie,

What kind of equipment do you have at your disposal? What type of room? Will you be renting equipment? I am not trying to be disrespectful. The folks on here will be able to help more if they know a little more.

Thom,

I would have said folks to also include "gals", but well said.

Ronnie,

Have you checkout the Search TAG name > harpsichord?

I found a few harpsichord threads there.

I even found this thread on that list.

My apologies. I did not mean to leave anyone out.

Thanks Steve.

No worries. And, I'm not judging.

Plenty of people post "guys"and "fellows" when addressing this board...

I just want to acknowedge everyone in the logical sense that there's a percentage of Gearslutz' that are female.
Maybe more women would participate if we recognized them on a day to day basis.

Ron, you're event is probably already occurred, but a few years back, I needed to record a concert with both violin soloist and harpsichord. I used a older not so pricey condensor on the harpsichord, just off the tail, and blended it into the mix. Came out great. Let us know how yours turned out.
